Simplicty

Welcome!

This site is going to be "rough" till I get some content in.

Simplicity is an opposing response to Consumerism. It is also a more humane value. Consumerism is in its essense the natural outgrowth of businesses valuing their profits above social and human values. Its consequence is not only a degradation of human values but also of a way of life that is unsustainable to the planet. The environmental consequence is just not worth the gain to the economy

The Simplicity Circle is a circle of people in Santa Barbara striving to bring Simplicity to their lives and those in their community. The major participants represents a coalition of Santa Barbara grass-roots organizations. It was founded by Bruce Anderson who is a fellow at For the Future. It includes Minara and the Santa Barbara Organic Gardening Club and sometimes sees participation from the Santa Barbara Permaculture Association.

The circle is open to all. If you wish to join the Simplicity Circle, please contact lbuzzell@aol.com
