Simplicity Circle

This project is an ongoing project aimed at educating the community on the values of Simplicity which run counter to Consumerism, which is in many ways a product of irresponsible business values, a focus on profits above what is good for society. It is a collaboration with other groups. Please see the Simplicity project page.

Santa Barbara's working poor

This project documents the living conditions of the working poor in our community. This is part of the larger project which will seek to make the community more aware of the dangers when businesses are not socially responsible. It is a collaboration with a local media group called Santa Barbara Indymedia.

Some get it right!

We profile businesses which stand out in being socially responsible in or more dimensions. If you know of any business you'd like us to profile, please tell us. (This project is temporarily on the backburner because we haven't received enough participation)

Directory of SR businesses

This is a long-term goal of Minara. At this time, there is no active work being done on it.

When this is completed we will have a directory of local businesses who meet our standard of social responsibility. We hope that this will serve you in choosing which businesses you patronize.
